off the beaten path,

The great Roo Minecraft Compound! I've been playing a lot of minecraft the last few days (i'm currently not feeling well so that's my excuse xD). This is the whole compound, more comprehensive/larger shots coming soon!

Note: my MC game is highly modded!

The Areas:

1. The main house; 2 stories. First floor houses my Industrial Craft 2 machines (macerator, electric furnace, generator & all transformers), Portal Gun portal, chest room and quarry output chest area and of course the jukebox! Back deck holds a "trash bin" (void pipe via buildcraft) that constantly flushes stuff I don't need into the void. Second floor holds beds/bedroom with desk and shelves (Bibliocraft) and enchanting room with anvil.

2. Garden; tended by gollems (via Thaumcraft), half holds wheat the other half is split between vanilla (carrots & potatoes) and various other produce (Pam's harvest craft).

3. Thaumcraft Tower/Lighthouse; Houses all my thaumcraft stuff, materials and warded jars. Despite it's size it's only one usable story (about 10 blocks high inside).

4. Animal Pen; holds all the animals, minus horses. Currently breeding twilight forest animals (rams, warthogs & deer) with a few mushroom cows dotted in for good measure ^.^

5. Twilight Forest Portal; pretty self explanatory.

6. Horse Barn & Pasture; a small area and 2 tall barn for my (currently) 4 horses.

7. Hot Air Balloon; again pretty self explanatory. (via Archimedes' ships)

8. Glass Butterfly House; houses all the butterflies I've currently caught and or bred (via Forestry).

9. Bee & Tree Breeding Field; Automatic bee farm with Forestry trees (both via Forestry). Bee farm produces honey and extra bee's both of which are piped (underground) to the #11 house.

10. Biogas Facility; houses 2 biogas engines and 2 Fermenters. Fermenters turn the excess trees from the tree breeding field into biogas with the help of liquid honey, which then fuels the biogas engines which fuel the equipment in house #11. The large silver/gray thing behind the house is an iron tank which holds the biogas (green) until it's needed. (biogas engines and pipes via Buildcraft and Fermenters vis Forestry)

11. Bee and Honey House; holds forestry equipment to deal with bees and honey. Bees produce honey combs which are pushed through a Centrifuge, this produces honey drops (and some other useless junk) which is then sent to a Squeezer where it's squeezed into liquid honey. The liquid honey runs the Fermentors in house #10 as well as an Analyzer in house #11 which analyzes the excess bees and then sorts them (through tubes) into chests or into the Genepool machine. The Genepool machine liquefies the bees (not as painful as it sounds hopefully) into liquid bee DNA which can then be used to craft special bees. The large silver/gray thing behind the house is an iron tank which holds the bee DNA (sparkly pink/purple stuff) until it's used. (Centrifuge, Squeezer & Analyzer via Forestry & Genepool via Extra Bees)

12. Quarry; a simple auto quarry that dig out blocks and then (via pipes) sends the materials to the main house. I prefer to use Quarries over water so they don't leave giant holes all over the map lol.

13. Smeltery; this extension is hard to see because of the Greatwood tree but it is there >.> lol. Houses all my Tinkers Construct items, which includes the giant 3 block high forge, some smaller vanilla forges, Pulverizer and an Induction Smelter. Basically everything that needs to be smelted down goes here and through various means, either the Smeltery aka big George Forgeman or Pulverizer then Induction Furnace as both produce 2 ingots per 1 ore that's smelted rather then 1 for 1 with vanilla machines. (Smeltery via Tinkerers Construct and the other 2 via Thermal Expansion).

Not shown, the dock, rubber tree farm and sugar canes which are on the other side of the island (lower ground) and currently hidden by blocks. This area is located below the tower and before the bridge over to the animal pen xD. Every building is made of Sakura tree wood and either Holly wood or Quartz. Holly and Sakura are via ExtraBiomes XL. All of the main path (which you can barely see in this as it's day lol) contain Glowstone Illuminators and are all connected with redstone to a Daylight Sensor. (this is also true for the inside of the butterfly house, those yellow blocks you see are all redstone wired to automatically light up at night 8D).
